Imagine picking a project name. ex: Filing taxes. Then hitting go. A timer starts running and you're playing beat the clock. You get points for each task you complete and bonus points for every minute you have finished before you expected. Suddenly the "chores" are flying off you lists and you are on your way to completing your goals.
Go would be featured on the side as a list but it’ is much more than a list.
There are 3 components
Tasks, Timeline & Go
Start with a project name or drag a list into go to make it your project name.
You make tasks just like you normally add list items or drag pre-existing tasks. You can organize your list in logical order. Unlike a standard checklist GO is designed to implement breaks and a logical sequence of tasks based on a predetermined amount of time.
Timeline. Let’s your structure task length by inputting the estimated time each tasks requires.
Once your project has a timeline calendar mode will help you split it into manageable chunks with breaks.
Go mode starts and stops the work mode. Once you finish a task you hit end. You may also be paused for a predetermined break.
Point system. You compete against yourself. The better use of your time the higher the score. Go mode is deigned to visually understand projects realistically instead of a series of check list. It is more gratifying to work against a time constraint. Points can also be added based on performance. ie. prompt: 1-10 how well was this task completed. (this feature can be disabled for the task or projects on a whole since certain things like, walk the dog, probably don’t need a performance basis.) That way even if a task ran over it’s allotted time but the performance was excellent that is taken into consideration.
