Template list or duplicate lists (also known as Copy Lists)
I use wunderlist to help me manage projects and most of these share many of the same tasks. For me, the missing killer feature would be to be able to either set up a list template with a set of standard tasks that are included when I mak a new list, or to be able to easily duplicate an existing list to achieve the same thing.
I really hope you'll consider this for a future version.

This is marked as planned. Any update on when?

I love this idea! I rely heavily on a template of tasks for projects or files that I work on. It would be extremely beneficial if you could have due dates set for tasks in you template that start a specified amount of days after the list has been created. I left wunderlist after searching to find a app that allows templates and found one. I've been using it for about 3 months and so far it's going well. I would really like to see wunderlist implement a template list then I could go back to it. I like Britta's idea... I think templates would be a great addition to wunderlist!

I agree with Allen... templates would be great... In the meantime, copying a task should be a no brainer.
Templates would be very helpful, but I agree that even a copy/paste task function would be acceptable!
Yes, even the ability to copy/paste a list would greatly improve usability. There is a need to create duplicate lists of items (e.g. if I am an event planner, I have a checklist that will be the same for each event I plan, so need to create a duplicate list for each event).

template tasks for the win!

would be gret to duplicate / copy tasks! I think lots of people have similar everyday tasks.

This is one area that the competition does better.
For Project Managers this would allow a template of sub-tasks for projects that repeat.

Yes, the template-way is (for me) the way to go.
Absolutely in fact, I expected this on this new version 2.0. Anyway I'm pretty sure you'll implement it very soon. Right ? ;)

This feature determines whether we use wunderlist of not. Until this feature is added we simply can't afford to use wunderlist!

I also am looking for such a feature. We use Wunderlist for our shopping list. When adding all ingredients for a specific recipe, it would be great to just append all ingredients from that particular recipe to the shopping list
It would be handy if you could copy tasks, so that you could quickly paste a task that is relevant also to another list into that list, without having to retype it.
Being able to the same with entire lists could also be handy. Let's say you've got a masterlist for what to bring on holiday; you could then duplicate it to finetune it for a specific holiday, without these changes affecting the masterlist. Not all holidays are the same - for some trips, you will need less than for others. Being able to have a fully complete masterlist, which you can then finetune for indiivdual trips, would be handy.
I'm sure there are other contexts in which this could also be handy...
I do projects with same set of recurring lists for each project. Need to be able to clone a project list and start another using the same list of tasks for each. e.g. This way a sale and install can be tracked for each customer and each step tracked until completion.
Definitely! This would be killer!

This is what I was going to say. Copy tasks can be good. =D
In addition it would be lovely to have the following feature for re-curring (identical) projects:
Allow copying of list while converting the dates for each task in days apart from prior/following tasks.
Setting start date of task 1 will automatically calculate all other dates and end date of last task (finalization of project)
I agree. I'd like to build "template" checklists and copy/paste them each time I start a project.
Like the grocery list idea, it would be helpful if you could create general templates that you could save and create lists from. That way if you use the Wunderlist to keep track of the status of multiple and somewhat similar tasks (projects), you wouldn't need to rebuild a new list each time.
