More priority levels
Instead of just a star indicating priority and then filtering it into a list, set up more than one priority level. I need to have priority tasks but also need them sorted by high, medium, low, and none. not everything is the same priority. I find myself having to rearrange the tasks on the list all the time.
I like the idea of @Kevin Weber a lot! At least the part with 10 levels of priority showing inside checkboxes.
I would like to have different priority levels and/or colors.
1st click on the star = level low, green star / 2nd click on the star = level medium, yellow star / 3rd click = level high, red star
Right now, we can only use one star to prioritize. I would like to have more priority choices. 5 priority levels plus the ability to create additional custom ones would be great. But at the very least, I would like to three levels of priority.

I've created a simple prototype to solve this missing feature!
Now the big question: Do you want me to further invest into this project? This really depends on your feedback.
The prototype is fully compatible and in sync with your existing Wunderlist account. Additionally, you can drag'n'drop tasks into a priority matrix or numbered list.
The full source code and a link to a working demo are on Github:
(Github -> @kevinweber -> Project: prio)
Please contact me if you want me to proceed working on this tool!
For each entry that I create I would like to set a different priority in at least 4-5 levels
The only reason why I prefer Todoist. They have a simple 3-4 priority task.

Com'on Wunderlist - users have been asking you add this feature for FOUR years. Why ask users for feedback if you are not interested in listening to it. At least state your reasons for not responding to this request some where near top of comment feed so that we know your rationale. I certainly cannot see how adding optional extra coloured stars would make system more complicated. Users can choose to hide some or all of them if they do not wish to use them (as can be done already with the red star!).
Sorry, I had to withdraw my votes, because I need them to vote for linked tasks, my main wish.
Still I would like to encourage the Wunderkinder very much to introduce 4 priority levels.
high, medium, low, and none are good!
More prio levels would be nice, but it isn't an absolute must for me because you can already drag and drop tasks to change the order. The only thing that is really missing with that is that once you sort the list by date or alphabetical the order you created by dragging is gone and I can't find a way to get it back.
I would expect it to be possible with the 'sort by priority' option, but in the Windows Phone app that is only available for starred items and in the web version that sort option is available but it doesn't work.
Please! On paper I rank everything as A, B, C than A1, A2, A3, I then re-arrange my list in order of importance. My outlook calendar reflects what I have written out, Franklin Covey style on paper. This would give you an amazing advantage over the competition, if it were easy to use and rank. Perhaps if you define the ranking system.. A, A1, B and then we press "sort" it automatically puts things in order for me. Sweet. I put my phone on my desk look at my list, then open up work outlook and plan my day. Or I sit in a meeting, type it into my smartphone and rank it B, automatically, then press sort. Organization quickly to control chaos.
I agree - color coded priority levels. So high would be red and low would be yellow or something similar.
Attente importante, les utilisateurs Remember souhaitent migrer vers Wunderlist mais cette fonction est trop importante pour faire le saut , tant qu'elle est absente. Merci d'avance.

I love the star and would hate to lose it, but multiple priority levels are certainly extremely useful. I would prefer to see them as an addition to the star, rather than a replacement for it.
Please add a multi color star that will prioritize starred items. It would be simple to do. Have a default color that always pop ups (currently yellow). Simply by hitting the star a second time it will turn another color and higher priority (blue for second level). A third tap of the star will bring the highest level (red). Just tap on the star to rotate between off/yellow/blue/red priorities. PS Thanks for a great product!

Priority setting within List and also Global ( across all Lists ) would be so awesome!
Priority List sorting by date, range of date, List and Global Lists priority.
I would actually add two priorities to every task - one for general (or long-term) importance (from 1 - 5) and then a secondary sorting priority that is determined by its place in that day's list (from 1 to unlimited) It can either be changed directly by number, or would automatically change if the entry is dragged above or below another.
If simplicity of interface is your concern, make the display of priorities optional in the list view.
I've been using an electronic task list since 1993 (Sharp organiser), and Wunderlist is nearly there, but still not good enough. As a German-Australian, I surprised at the reluctance to engineer something better.

Here's my solution for you chaun;
I start each entry in a list, with a three digit number.
You would start with 500, e.g.
500 Go to supermarket
the next item shall be either 750 or 250 depending on its relative priority.the third shall be one of 875 625 375 or 125 depending on its prority in relationship to the rest. Sorting is done alphabetically, and everything falls im place. Division of the intervals can be done approximately - that's fine.
You can change the digits to change priorities. Once you start you get the hang of it.
