Allow more flexible recurring events
I am hoping future updates will include more flexible recurring events. For any to do list, there are many types of recurring events that are essential, but not included in this new Wunderlist. For example:
- 3rd Monday of the month
- Last Thursday of the month
- Last business day of the month
- The 15th of the month, or, if it falls on a weekend, the Friday previous, or the Monday after.
- Every 5th of January, April, July & October

I am definitely for this and believe it would make a significant improvement.

Also how many times an event should recur.

Really, really would like an option to repeat task based on date of completion.
add function... repeat in workdays
A variation of the repeat tasks and subtasks already mentioned would be allow more than 7 days for the repeat for days selection. ie, may need 15 to 30 davs

I do really want to have the next task based on when I complete the current task, for example if I change the air filter a week late, the next task should still be 4 weeks out from when I complete it, not 4 weeks out from when it was first due.
This would be a great feature. Being able to schedule things twice a week (e.g. every Monday and Thursday would be great).
another vote for every workday
Also, would like to have option to repeat x days, months after last completed. For example I should add chemicals to spa every 7 days but if I get it done 2 days late reschedule for 7 days from the day I mark it

I agree. An example would be to set up recurring event as every Thursday and Monday. Use a simple days of the week checklist.

I'm not a student, but I would love to see the options marked with an asterisk below added to the current drop down menu for repeated tasks:
Mon, Wed, Fri*
Every weekday M-F*

Please, i need features like in iOS reminders ... for example end repeating on date
+1 for every work day

A really good example of recurring date entry is The Hit List, by Potion Factory. Repetition strategies are entered entirely with words. "Every other Monday." "Every 20 days." "First Sunday of every month." This would be really hard for 6Wunderkinder to implement, but I believe it's the best thing for users.
+1 for being able to select all weekdays
For me just Google calendar's functionality would be enough, for example "weekly on mondays, tuesdays and thursdays"

Apart from more flexible dates, you should offer two different kinds of recurrence:
* every xxx time units (that's the way it's now)
* after xxx time units (look at Remember the milk) - the counter only starts after the tast is finished
Maybe add 1/2 (half) days, weeks or just add longer days, like every 10 days to repeat

or every 90 days
Totally agree..I have a particularly important task that is recurring every 8 Days...
I would like to see completely custom options for recurring events that allow for smaller or even seemingly arbitrary repetitions.
For example: right now, I'm setting up a new fish tank which will require water changes every 2-3 days for the first two weeks and 3-5 days after that until the environment stabilizes. Right now, I have to make an individual event for each water change, since they recur more often than weekly, whereas I would rather make a single recurring event and plan them throughout the month, on specific dates.
I also have clients with irregular schedules, though they require monthly service calls. I'd like to be able to create one task like "Call John Smith" and choose specific days of the month, week, etc. for the event to recur.
