Love it. Thanks for putting this request together Vlad
Why don't you implement this feature?
More than a year thousands of users are waiting for this.
This ist a top feature needed by a lot of your customers.
Why do you ignore this for such a long time ????????????????
If we deal in such a way in our company with our customers, my company goes bankrupt.

Please do it !!!
This would be really very helpful
When delegating tasks to other team members, the ability to easily define priority is extremely beneficial. The option to apply color to assigned tasks solves this problem immediately; especially, when multiple tasks are all due on the same day and there is the chance that not all of the assignments can be completed on-time.
Colored Lists and Tasks would be awesome!!!

I know the developers recently added hashtags, and I'm sure they think doing so eliminates the need for color coding, but I have to disagree.
It's a matter of SPEED, and ease of use. Split seconds MATTER, and every click counts! A color choice, as envisioned by the original poster, would be easy and require only ONE CLICK to turn it on/off.
Hashtags require you to:
1: Click on the Task name to insert the text cursor.
2: Click and drag (in iOS), or use the cursor keys in the Desktop or Browser, to position the cursor where you want the tag to appear.
3. On an iPhone, or iPad, you must then click the ,"123" Key, then the, "#+=," key to access the symbol keyboard.
4: Type the hashtag
5: Click the, "ABC" key to access the letter keyboard,
6: Type in the Tag itself
6: Click Done.
Hashtags are VERY powerful...I get it. But we're talking about the difference between a dozen or more keystrokes every time you want to categorize something....and ONE.
Coloring coding tasks would be an absolute life saver for me since I am visually oriented and color code everything in my office I can in order to organize my work.
Please, please, please add this very important features. Your users would LOVE it!!!

Amen! Add my voice to the chorus. I actually logged on here to make this very request and am very pleased to see how much support it already has. Looking at the mock-up the OP created, it's clear that he's a photographer too, and probably got the idea from that ability to color code images that's built into Photoshop. It's tried and true, and VERY versatile.
To you developers who might be (I doubt it, but I can hope) reading this...I had considered asking for the ability to add levels of importance, like a number, instead of just a "flag", which is just ON/OFF. Color coding is actually so much better, because I can use it any number of different ways. I can use different colors to designate a tasks degree of importance...OR I can use it to cluster tasks together based on what needs to be done. If I have a number of different tasks that need to be done in a specific room, or area of plant for instance, I can easily look at my list and see what else I might need to do while I'm here. It would be a VERY valuable feature. Please DO add it, just like his mock up shows.

Obviously offers more than looks. Seems to be a good sorting feature between catagories.

Why nobody cares about DIFFERENT PERMISSION LEVELS for shared users? Color Code? Seriously? Is it kindergarden or what?

And why does it take a year and a half to review this simple feature?

Please, please, please. If there are bugs when you implement this feature I won't mind.

Do you guys get paid monthly ? .. this will be surprising regarding how little you add to the app.
honestly what are you working on if nothing interesting comes to the app for months ?!
adding simple color codes is not that hard, people want it .. so what?!

yeah real glad you added color coded lists before due date/reminder assignment to subtasks.
YES! I need this so badly.
