Custom Smart Lists
For a Tomorrow Smart List for example, or Overdue, etc
Please add this!
It would be great if we cloud choose a default to date.
Wunderlist need improved Smart Lists with tasks filtered by tags, status, priority, date due, done time (i.e. in past 24 hours or next 24 hours).

I do the same thing and would love to have this or at least a custom flag that I can set myself.

+1 for smart lists!

Yes, smart lists based on tags would be perfect (e.g. tag Shopping would allow me to create a list with all the tasks I have tagged Shopping). can do this in RTM. It's the one thing (apart from google calendar integration) that stops me moving wholesale from there to here.
I agree - it really would be useful to have a month smart list, please create this! Or even better, allow us to create our own smart lists allowing us to specify the time frame (e.g. tomorrow; month; semester, etc.) Many thanks.
Let us make Smart Lists based on tags. So many ways this would be useful for a variety of different organizational purposes.
Hell of a good idea!
The custom list I'm longing to is "today's tasks that are not assigned to someone else". I'm surprised nobody else is mentionning this. Have I missed something?

I agree that custom smart lists would be great. I don't know if I would limit them to tasks. I would just have the user hold down the "Option key" when adding a new list, which would change the '+' button into a slightly different button to indicate the list to be added it a "Smart List" (iTunes uses this method).
Then the user should be able to search. The most recent update already allows us to search by assignee, notes, subtasks, etc. Essentially the "Smart List" would just be a static container for a search and would show any tasks that result from that search. The same functionality exists in Outlook and Smart Folders.
My hopes would be to have Smart Lists for all of the following use cases:
Tasks with due dates
Tasks assigned to Steve
Tasks with the #contract tag
Tasks due by September 1
Tasks with notes
Tasks completed within X days
Tasks due within X days
Tasks that are shared
If you combine the requests for this feature with all the permutations to simply create a view of tomorrow, etc, this must be by far the most requested feature. It is also the most basic good practice of task planning - to review tomorrow's tasks today. I hoped it would show up in the latest update. Without it, I have to look for an alternative. Please make a good application indispensable!
Yes, if there was an area on the left side, under the lists, that could show all our tags, (somewhat similar to Evernote), that would be ideal. The reason why is so that we can find things fast. As you know, many tasks/To-Do items aren't for this week, but are for much later. Keeping tabs these items is crucial to becoming more productive.

It's great that mobile apps have tags. Now there are tags everywhere, but they're mostly useless without lists based on them and some form of autocomplete (when I go to add them to a to-do). It'd be awesome to be able to setup a list with every to-do that is tagged with say #traderjoes. When I'm at Trader Joe's, I open the list and it's all there. I understand I can tap on a tag to accomplish this now, but it could be simpler than that. I have to go look for a particular to-do that has that tag, plus some to-dos are truncated and the tags are cut off from view.
I would like to be able to create a custom just based on just tags which may be spread about in different lists

Totally agree! I always need to gather some to-do's from another lists in one list. Like starred list, week etc but customized.

Totally agree in Smart List based on a tag. Could be very useful to get an element "Awaiting confirmation".
Or maybe make a special feature for that one (don't have more votes for today :( !).

Including the ability to create a smart list for todos assigned to a co-worker.
My vote for you
