Custom Smart Lists
For a Tomorrow Smart List for example, or Overdue, etc
yes, custom smartlist based on a tag.
Smart lists based on tags would be a great feature

It would be nice to add a Smart List for Next Action(s) that would show a list of the next actions for each project. This would satisfy GTD customers that don't want to have to go into each project and mark each next action with a star or set the due date to Today's date to see it appear in a Smart List.
Smart list based on tags!
There's a lot of features that would be nice but this is the only glaring thing missing, IMO, that wouldn't even make the interface more complicated. This feature would probably put some less polished GTD apps out of their misery.

Custom smart lists are a huge opportunity for Wunderlist to differentiate the free from the Pro product. It is impossible to think of all of the combinations and permutations of Smart Lists required by users so custom reports is the only viable solution. I need this desperately and it sounds like others do as well.
I use the smart-list "week" ... it shows the next 7 days grouped by days with newest day at the top.
This is perfect for me to check the next day and also some more =)
A task should be able to exist outside of any list.
Lists are Ok, but instead of "hashtags", categories would be much better, allowing to show ONE task in different folders (these would be categories which could represent anything: an conference, a project, a recurring appointment, a group of people or any other subject that can be linked to collaborative tasks).
Thanks for your advice !
How about making a 'folder' automatically into 'a smart list' option?
I have a 'work' and 'home' folder with multiple lists in each, but no easy way of getting an overview of the tasks for home or work. Maybe a adding an eyeball icon to the folder would allow user to view the contents as a smaller version of the 'all' list or a checklist control for creating a custom group of lists?
Hey, folks listen to your customers, please.
- 2.5 year old feature request
- one of Top 10 requests
- second most comments
And you still not even "PLANNING" it?
We use tags as another dimension to slice task lists across projects. We use it daily. And it painful to type full tag name each time - I want to save and reuse my search request. That is basically what we call "smart list".
Come on! All other "gtd-like" task manages have it.
Furthermore, please use a slightly different colored background for the smart list area. This would help visually define the difference between the lists i created and what are basically just filters. Currently the page is white, the smartlist portion could be a subtle grey color, or vice versa. Even just a line between the areas would be nice. Or custom colored icons and list backgrounds for all lists and smartlists would solve this for me also.
ability to show a Smart List for all tasks assigned to an individual, grouped by list

Smart List options for each day of the week just like TODAY, so they are easier to read would be dynamite. The smart list WEEK is too hard to read when I have dozens of reocurring tasks via visiting or calling the same customers on the same day each week. Basically the same thing everyone else is saying about a TOMORROW list, but go ahead and just give us the option to automatically show a smart list for each day of the current week.

smart list for tags please
Yes, a smart list for tomorrow would be great!

Yes, customize a smart list so it is filtered for your choice of attributes. Example, show me everything that is assigned to a certain person. or, so me everything with a specific tag. Or multiple filters.
If I plan my workday the day before it would be nice to have a smart list for due tomorrow instead of having to wait until the day the tasks are due to plan the workday.

The ability to create custom smart lists including only selected lists.
Agree! Custom smart lists would make all the difference - the one I'd like is "Monthly"
smart list for items with no due date - so I don't miss them ...
