List of #tags.
Make this possible wunderlist!
I have nothing else to add to the comment below. We need this.
See the Assign a start date to a To-Do topic. Need I add this to more topics. I think not. While I appreciated what Wunderlist started out to do they have lost their way since being acquired by Microsoft. For what its worth I use other MS products every day and will never drink apple's coolaid!
Tags are incredibly powerful and flexible, but not well addressed. It should be possible to assign a tag with a single key stroke, find them from a list, reassign all items tagged X to Y, etc.
Tags add a non-hierachical dimension to the app which is missing.
All the existing records (112!) regarding 'tags' are telling you the importance of this area...
I would love to see a 'smart' solution for filtering, sorting or in general manage all tags.
I have to use wunderlist to share lists with my daughter but I can't use it for work it is just too restrictive, with one of the biggest restrictions being the inability to sort by tag, pretty much a basic necessity in any to-do list particularly one as expensive as wunderlist. Todoist is half the price of Wunderlist, yet offers filters and labels as well as gmail integration that is second to none, another to-do list offering much more for less money is GQueues. So I think if Wunderlist wants to continue to grow it's customer base it needs to catch up with the competition or is this another Microsoft buy-out collecting as much subscription fees as it can before shutting it down

This is essential feature. I wonder why it still not implemented.

As mentioned below, this is the only reason I am currently using TickTick instead of Wunderlist. Make it possible for me to switch!!!
I'd love to see this feature. Would be super useful.
2 188 votes and not planned ?? Feature Requests real or fake ?

Discovered a workaround for this. I created a List called "Tags" and placed it directly under the "Completed" smartlist. I created to-do item in the List for each Tag I would like. Being a photographer, here are some of my Tags: #Shoot #Post-Production #Marketing etc. When wanting to see all of the to-do items that have one of those Tags, I just click on it. Also, and this is BIG, when creating a to-do and after typing # symbol, a drop-down list appears with all of my Tags. So, you don't need to type in Tags each time...just click on it from the list to add!!! Wunderlist can still do a lot more with Tags (like being able to create smart lists from Tags), but I'm glad there is at least some Tag functionality. Going with Wunderlist over Todoist!

I am looking at Wunderlist and Todoist. Overall I like Wunderlist more, but Todoist has tags (Labels) and a way to easily utilize them (Filters). Tough call, especially when this was suggested in 2014 and it is not "Planned".

I wish I had an extra 500 votes, because if I did I'd assign them here. Wunderlist Team, can you provide any update as to whether or not this feature request is on your RADAR? You absolutely need a modern methodology to manage tags in this product. Things & Todoist would be two good apps to look at, especially Todoist. Tags (or contexts as we call them in GTD) are an absolute necessity. I've created a separate task list in Wunderlist to just list my tags, but this is a clumsy workaround to the missing functionality in the product. thanks.

Without the Option to see and manage the list of tags, they are (sadly) useless.
A list of tags (tag manager, or whatever...) should also include a checkbox ability to make that tag a smart list.
Yes please ... :)
Without the ability to find tagged items, tags are almost useless to me. So a tag list is essential! The ability to turn a tag "on" or "off" in the list, as you can do with gmail, would make it even more useful.
I use tags to indicate projects, so when a project is no longer important or is done, I'd like to turn the tag off (but still be able to show all tags if I want to). That way all my tasks done for the project are saved but the project doesn't clutter up my list of ongoing projects.
Agree with everyone here, great ideas ... please add!!
I agree with much of what has been said already. I particularly agree with Kar's point that tags should not be stored in the to-do name field. That takes up space, is visually cluttered, and sets a limit on the number of tags used. They should be details screen, one of the few things I like better about Todoist.

To be truly useful, the tags should not be stored in the to-do name field. That takes up valuable space and sets a practical limit on the number of tags used. They should be listed on the to-do details screen, as todoist does it.

Tags are how I keep track of the source of my field notes. I wish I could add more than 3 votes to this - the lack of global tag management is killer.
