Show or view all tasks within a folder when clicking the folder icon
When I click on a folder in the sidebar, all tasks within that folder should appear in the main window. The same way if I click All it shows all tasks, when I click a folder it should show all tasks within that folder, subgrouped by list name. The folder system is highly flawed as it is at the moment because of this. If All shows All, Folder should show All within Folder. Makes total sense don't you think?
I NEED THIS!

Please please please!
I want this feature so much, it would make a huge difference!!

That is a great idea for folders
Wunderlist is slowly becoming a powerful tool for getting things done. If you have this feature implemented, it will open a lot of doors for this app.
When you have many lists in one folder as most busy people will have, it is painfully difficult to see what you have to do if you can not open all lists in a folder at once. I should not have to click on each list trying to prioritize the hottest items among all lists. Please fix.
Considering switching back to Insightly as I miss this feature so much. This was posted a year ago and nothing has been done?
I can't believe this is not implemented yet. ALL decent competitors have this, and Wunderlist doesn't despite, IMO, being the front runner.
It's such a logical way of dealing with tasks:
You have tasks, you have lists, you have folders.
You want to see all the tasks in one list, you want to see all the tasks in one folder.
Who wouldn't?? Sure, give the ability to turn it on and off... but com'on! It's been requested vastly for more than a year, not only here, but also there are several posts in the forums too.
I think it should have been implemented even before the folders, hell, even before Smart Lists (which are great!). This are just... "Dumb Lists" ;-)
This post is 1-year old as of yesterday! Not even IN REVIEW???
Should've been implemented with the folders feature...
This is what I was going to suggest! This idea of folders is great for me with project management. At any given time I have 1 to 5 tasks per job that I need to work on. I break out my job categories in my folder as a list(would love folders in a folder too!) and then am working my tasks out of these lists. But given I have 6 lists I want to see a summary of everything I have to do in my "employer/job work" folder rather then having to look in each sub list.

This one would be pretty easy to implement and a must have feature. Normally we create a folder only when we want to club all the sub topics of a primary project.
I am out of votes. I wish I had voted on this feature! Please consider adding this!
If this idea is not going to get supported for whatever reason, how about a similar alternative?
When I click on the "All" smart list, it would be good to be able to filter/narrow that list by folder using check boxes. This would be an alternative way of quickly getting an overview of all my Work tasks or all my Home tasks.
Any chance of a comment from Wunderlist on this?
Declined? Under review? Planned?
I completely agree, if you click on a folder name on the left it should show all the tasks from all lists on the right. OR even better would be the ability to create your own smart lists. I would love to define a custom smart list where I can specify lists and tags. Then pin that smart list to the left. :)
My issue is that I have a screen in a central place of the office. I need two specific lists to show there and ONLY those two. It is a screen of items that need to be cleared within 24 hours. So, as people walk by and if they see items there they are encouraged to look and take action.
I also have longer term project lists. I do not want those items to show up on the above screen I just talked about. So, if I choose the 'show all' option it will show both the 24 hour items as well as the long term. If people see the long term items there all the time then they will start to ignore the screen. I'm trying to teach them that when ever they walk by that screen there should really be NO items on it.
When will this feature be added? So what I need right now! :)
Please Wunderlist team... You have to do this, it is a natural behavior that is not present. Hope you do it.
YES, this is the biggest thing i'm missing right now!
This is just a logical instinctive feature. As others have said, when you click "ALL" it does exactly this... Folders should do the same. As well as be able to print a folder.
OR all of this could be solved by showing sublists in an expanded / nested view on your screen without having to go to a detail page... Since then you can print, email etc. Heck when you email or print it ALREADY shows it to you like this. Wy the browser or app view doesn't allow the same is beyond me.
For the people against it, it sounds like if you have tried to make your system work in way that was shaped by what you can and cannot do in wunderlist. Where it might screw you up from the start, but be more functional once you get used to the change...
Agree. If you have a complex setup of many task lists in many different folders its incredibly inefficient to have to share each task list individually with your team members. AND, each member has to then organize them into folders on their own because they won't have the same view as you.
I am not sure why this isn't under review yet. Makes this somewhat useless for a business setup otherwise.
